The Bosphorus Turkish restaurant is a well established restaurant literally in the centre of Cardiff Bay – it’s located on a modern pier sticking out into the Bay from Mermaid Quay.

Miller and Carter is a new restaurant in the Bay close to the Red Dragon Centre and the Future Inn. It’s a chain restaurant specialising in steaks.
We visited in the afternoon and had the lunch menu (available 12noon – 6pm) which offered two courses for £8.95 on a reduced range menu.
I had the Caesar Salad as a starter which was good but maybe a bit minimal, and a steak for main which was excellent.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was chic but the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful.
An Italian restaurant on the upper level of Mermaid Quay. Our favourite Italian!
It’s perfectly situated on the upper level with excellent views across the Bay. Ask for a table overlooking the bay when you arrive if they have one free.
The food is great and the whole place has an authentic feel to it. There’s excellent service from charming Italian staff.
Café Rouge is a chain French style restaurant in the Mermaid Quay complex on the ground level with easy access off the promenade in front of Mermaid Quay.
The food is good and varied. There’s normally a cheaper lunchtime special menu so keep an eye out for that.
The wines seem expensive. Service is good.
Not very good views of the bay from inside but you can sit outside when the weather is good.
Bellinis is an Italian restaurant with great views across the Bay on the first floor of Mermaid Quay.
There is a great selection of Italian dishes. The staff are attentive and courteous.
Ask for a window table if you want the best view across the Bay. Expect to pay £13 to £20 per person excluding wine.
They also do a lunchtime menu for around £6.
